The Nouvelle Liberté Monument is an emblematic sculpture located at the Deido roundabout. Designed by Cameroonian artist Joseph-Francis SUMEGNE in 1996, this monumental 12-metre-high work was made from salvaged materials: metal parts, fragments of cars and other metal objects assembled to form a stylised humanoid figure.
